CM CREATIVE SOLUTIONS PRESS RELEASE
Monday 20th October
2014 for Immediate Release
CM Creative Solutions Ltd sparks success using art.
CM Creative Solutions provides the first and only arts-based training for New Zealand organisations. International leaders including American Express, IBM and GE incorporate arts-based training in their organisations, now New Zealand companies have the opportunity for the same success.
Founder, Christine Melchior has been a prominent figure within the Waikato Arts community for several years, working as a design consultant, art tutor and freelance artist – selling her work both nationally and internationally. She has always been fascinated with the ability to combine the creative and business sectors and encourages workplaces to enable people to express their talent, passion and creativity. Her recent research for her MBA at the University of Waikato Management School in the field of creativity and innovation facilitation led to the development of arts-based workshops.
“The success and
innovation drive comes from bringing art forms into business
practice,” Christine says.
She has facilitated
workshops in the public sector, regional and local
government agencies and has lectured in leadership practice
and creativity and innovation at Waikato University’s
Management School.
With CM Creative Solution workshops, businesses can utilise art techniques such as drawing and painting to engage, experiment and think freely without fear of criticism. The use of experiential creative art methods taps into the right brain to stimulate creativity, innovation and lateral thinking to address any issue or problem in an enjoyable, respectful and empowering atmosphere. These non-threatening environments produce collaboration amongst all team members, while allowing individuals to unlock new potentials; essentially art forms are harnessed as a catalyst for personal and organisational performance.
“We don’t try and ‘teach’ you new things. Our expertise is in creating an environment where all of the resources, knowledge and wisdom of the group can be realised, new perspectives, ideas and possibilities explored, relationships strengthened, new meanings unearthed and future action owned.”
Arts-Based Training Workshops currently operate out of the Creative Thinking Lab at the University of Waikato. As the workshops are customised to your organisations requirements the lengths can vary from hourly sessions to week long trainings; they are designed to generate new ideas that develop powerful innovative solutions. Creating change through art is beneficial for individuals, teams, organisations including executives, managers and employees, and community levels.
In terms of sustaining this inspiration, Arts-Based Training assists in cultivating an ongoing creative and innovative culture within your organisation.
