Whanganui UCOL to celebrate graduation this week

Hard work and commitment has paid off for 330 Whanganui UCOL Graduates who successfully completed their Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees in 2014.

Many of the graduates will attend and personally receive their new qualifications at one of the two Graduation Ceremonies in Whanganui this Wednesday.

Morning and afternoon Ceremonies will be held at the Prince Edward Auditorium at Wanganui Collegiate School on Wednesday 18 March at 10.00am and 12.30pm.

Whanganui UCOL Associate Dean Vocational Tony Gan says every Graduand represents a success story. “The graduation ceremony is the occasion to celebrate our students’ achievement in arriving at the finish line and fulfilling their study goals.”

“The celebration confirms the students’ commitment to achieving excellence and their readiness for meaningful employment. It’s also an opportunity to acknowledge the families who’ve supported them, and the lecturers and support staff at UCOL who’ve walked the journey with them, every step of the way.”

“Life is a journey of discovery and I hope the Graduands will let their passion take them to the height of their career.”

The Vocational and Sport Performance ceremony starts at 10.00am for students eligible to graduate in Business Studies, Computing, Culinary Arts and Hospitality, Exercise and Sport, Hairdressing and Beauty, Mental Health (Support Work), and Tertiary Study Skills.
