Auckland Ballet Intensive

Auckland Ballet Intensive

Dance Ballet Intensive with instructors Kimbrian Bergh and Nicci Theis. For intermediate to advanced dancers - class, Repertoire Rehearsals and Pas De Deux. Numbers are strictly limited.

Date: 14-16 July & 6-8 October, 2015

Time: 09:00 am – 3:00pm

Venue: Unitec Dance Studios, Entry 1, Carrington Rd, Mt Albert, Auckland

Cost: $300 (3 days) or $120 per day.

Daily Timetable:

8.30-9.30am Pilates / Warm-up (Westmere Pilates)

10.00-12.00am Class (Bergh/Mcewan)

12.00-1.00pm Lunch

1.00-4.00pm Repertoire/Variation coaching (Bergh/Mcewan)

About the instructors:

Kimbrian Bergh was trained in South Africa, and upon graduation joined PACT ballet as Corps de Ballet. He became a Principal dancer and has danced principal and soloist roles in every major classical ballet of the 20th Century. In 2001, he co-founded South African Ballet Theatre. Kim currently teaches ballet technique at Unitec Department of Performing and Screen Arts’s dance programme in Auckland.

Nicci Theis began her ballet training in South Africa. At age 16, she was offered a scholarship to attend the National Ballet School of Canada. Upon graduation she took up a scholarship at the Royal Ballet School in London. By 19, she won a contract with the Scottish Ballet where she danced for 10 years as Principal dancer till the end of her career .
