Experience Another Culture by Opening Your Home to an International Exchange Student

Student Exchange Australia New Zealand will welcome more than fifteen overseas students to New Zealand in January 2016 and are looking to connect these students to volunteer host families, where they become a part of the family and more often than not, a lifelong friend.

Experiencing the New Zealand way of life and culture, attending the local high school and becoming a member of their community provides an enriched experience for both the student and the host family.

Student Exchange Australia New Zealand is currently seeking urgent expressions of interest from families in New Zealand who are willing to host these exchange students.

Host mum Trudie, from Auckland, commented, "Hosting opens your mind to all sorts of thinking and all sorts of possibilities. I cannot recommend it highly enough. A hosting experience is an opportunity for both the exchange student and host family to learn firsthand about the world around them. It is a unique experience to discover another culture, share your family values, and make lifelong memories and friendships. Students become another member of the family and are supported by local co-ordinators.
