Experience Another Culture by Opening Your Home

Experience Another Culture by Opening Your Home to an International Exchange Student

Student Exchange Australia New Zealand will welcome more than fifteen overseas students to New Zealand in January 2016 and are looking to connect these students to volunteer host families, where they become a part of the family and more often than not, a lifelong friend.

Experiencing the New Zealand way of life and culture, attending the local high school and becoming a member of their community provides an enriched experience for both the student and the host family.

Student Exchange Australia New Zealand is currently seeking urgent expressions of interest from families in New Zealand who are willing to host these exchange students.

Host mum Trudie, from Auckland, commented, "Hosting opens your mind to all sorts of thinking and all sorts of possibilities. I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you have the opportunity to host, just do it.” Please click on the link to view a series of videos of the Cain familyhttp://studentexchange.org.nz/host-a-student/testimonials/

Christine, from Northland Region, commented, “One of the best things about having the boys stay with us has been experiencing NZ from their perspective. They have helped us to see NZ, our culture, food, lifestyle, and community from a completely different perspective. There are so many things that we take for granted or think of as being normal, but seeing things through their eyes has been a very rewarding and enlightening experience”. A hosting experience is an opportunity for both the exchange student and host family to learn firsthand about the world around them. It is a unique experience to discover another culture, share your family values, and make lifelong memories and friendships. Students become another member of the family and are supported by local co-ordinators.

Student Exchange Australia New Zealand is a not-for-profit organisation registered with the NZ Ministry of Education. Scoop Review Of Books: Who Killed Jane?

This is an important book. Why? Because any publication that soberly and sensibly attempts to cast light on an unsolved murder is important, for the very real reasons that not only do the bereaved require and deserve a sense of closure, but that the murderer or murderers may be closer to being confirmed, arrested, tried.
