Writers, Poets, Playwrights & Comic/Graphic Novelists! Apply

Writers, Poets, Playwrights & Comic / Graphic Novelists! Apply for mentoring by 5 Feb

For your opportunity to be mentored by an established writer, poet, playwright or comic / graphic novelist - apply to NZ Society of Authors by 5 Feb.

The deadline is looming for applications to the NZ Society of Authors Mentor programme 2016. We are seeking applications from writers and comic / graphic novelists looking for professional development, a safe space to discuss their work, intellectual community, role models, accountability and substantive feedback. The programme runs between April and November 2016.

There are 13 mentorships on offer and this year 3 have been tagged for emerging writers identifying as Maori, Pacifika, and Asian. Two half mentorships have again been tagged for comic / graphic novelists.

The writers and creators who gained mentorships in 2015 polished and refined their skills under talented mentors such as award-winning novelist Paula Morris and Kiwi comic creator Dylan Horrocks.

The NZSA Mentor Programme already has an impressive register of writing and comic / graphic novel mentors listed for 2016 but mentorships are not limited to that list. To find out terms and conditions and how to apply go to the NZ Society of Authors website.

The NZSA Mentor Programme is open for applications until 5 February 2016.
