Mechanic Animation Offers Animation Internship


Wellington based company Mechanic Animation are contributing to the Southsure Insurance Emerging Artist Awards by offering a two and a half week internship to an Animation student studying at Southern Institute of Technology. The winning student will also collect $500 and will need to submit a cover letter, CV and portfolio containing examples of both 2D and 3D animation.

The winner will be announced at the Awards night on Thursday 9 November at SIT’s Centrestage, along with the overall Emerging Artist Award winner who will take home $2,000 and the Excellence in Film prize of $500.

Mechanic Animation have gained industry prestige having worked on projects such as Marvel’s Spiderman, Avengers Assemble and Guardians of the Galaxy TV series’.

Best of luck to the applicants, the Southsure Emerging Artist Awards will begin with a pre-show function at 5.30pm, the awards ceremony starting at 7pm.
