Statement on Employment Relations Authority Recommendations

Statement on Employment Relations Authority Recommendations

As reported this afternoon, the Ministry of Education has received the final recommendations of the Employment Relations Authority Facilitator, James Crichton.

Following four days of facilitated bargaining the head of the Authority noted that "the parties and [he] worked solidly through that time."

Mr Crichton recommends NZEI accepts "the Ministry of Education’s final offer" which would see most teachers get between $9,500 and $11,000 extra within 24 months.
