Partnership between UCOL and Heytour Group strengthens

International education relationships are strengthening between UCOL and Heytour Group Holding. UCOL Chief Executive, Dr Lynn, presented Executive Vice President of the Heytour Beijing branch, Mr Skye Wang, with an Agent Representation Certificate in Beijing last week.
Heytour Group Holding is a New Zealand and China registered entity that specialises in international education, migration, investments and hospitality. Established in 2017, the Group currently operates out of Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and branch offices in New Zealand include Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin and Palmerston North.
The partnership with Heytour Group will see a full-time staff member operate out of Heytour’s office in Beijing, who will specialise in promoting UCOL’s programmes across its network of 300 agents in China. The role which is fully-funded by Heytour, demonstrates Heytour’s confidence in UCOL’s internationalisation strategy.
Executive Vice President of the Heytour Beijing branch, Mr Skye Wang, was delighted to receive this certificate and is positive about the relationship between UCOL and Heytour.

In 2018 Heytour Group successfully enrolled over 200 Chinese international students across a number of education providers in New Zealand. It plans are to double international recruitment in 2019.
International relationships take time to develop, and UCOL Chief Executive Dr Lynn said the quality of education provided by UCOL and the integrity of the relationships developed were key to ongoing success. “We have a strong commitment to our relationships in China.”
Semester 1 2019 saw the largest ever international applications received by UCOL – an increase of 40% as compared to the same period in 2018.
