1000th student enrols on nutrient management course

MEDIA RELEASE 26th March 2012

1000th student enrols on Massey’s sustainable nutrient management course
Outlook for Ravensdown is Rosie

Ravensdown Account Manager, Rosie McLeod of Balclutha is the 1000th student to sign up for Massey University’s popular course on sustainable nutrient management.

The three-day course is now in its tenth year after being initiated by Fert Research and designed by Massey with input from Ravensdown’s R&D team headed by Mike Manning.

“Sustainability in farming is a topical issue, but this course owes its enduring success to the continued drive for account managers to achieve excellence in farm nutrient management. Farms need to manage their nutrients effectively for their bottom line and for the sake of the environment so it’s going to stay a popular option,” said Mike Manning.

“All Ravensdown Account Managers like me have completed this course with many going on to the Advanced course. It helps that the recommendations and advice is based on robust science. I enjoyed the course and I am looking forward to getting out there and helping my customers with their nutrient management plans,” added Rosie.
