Lisa Blakie Inquiry : House Examination Winds Up

5 April 2000

HOUSE EXAMINATION IN DARFIELD TO WIND UP TODAY

The examination of the house in Darfield should be completed today says Detective Inspector Rob Pope.

“The search will be winding up today, we’ve virtually completed. We’ve conducted a very thorough examination so we’ll be cleaning up today as we have an obligation to before we return the house to the owner.”

Mr Pope says that the car is still being examined.

Lisa’s property has not all been recovered yet, her cream suitcase and green army kit bag have still to be found. Her cell phone was discovered in a rubbish tin at a lay-by on SH 73 soon after her body was discovered there.

Mr Pope says that the inquiry still has “a long way to go.”
