Union agrees to meet with IHC

The Service and Food Workers Union have agreed to meet with IHC’s CEO Ralph Jones at 5 o’clock this afternoon.

“We’re pleased that the union has agreed to meet,” Mr Jones said. “They seem to be under the impression that we didn’t want such a meeting to happen. I have always been prepared to meet with the union to discuss a way forward.”

“Locking staff out is not an easy thing to do, but we cannot continue to have our services disrupted. We have been dealing with industrial action since June and need to find a way forward.”

“We’re looking forward to finding an end to this impasse and getting on with supporting people with intellectual disabilities,” Mr Jones said.
