Plunket welcomes first male Plunket Nurse
The appointment of Plunket’s first-ever male Plunket Nurse is a positive development signaling the organisation’s commitment to ensuring all parents, including fathers, receive the best possible support.
Keith Curry joins the Plunket team in Whangarei today (subs Monday 23 May) and becomes part of a network of 625 Plunket Nurses delivering well child health services nationwide. Keith Curry has ten years of nursing experience, is a fluent Maori speaker and the father of a three-year old daughter.
Plunket’s general manager clinical services, Angela Baldwin, says Keith’s appointment is timely.
“Plunket continues to evolve to meet the needs of today’s families. We welcome Keith and look forward to working with him in the years ahead.
“Keith brings a wealth of community and clinical experience and a strong commitment to providing support for parents,” said Angela Baldwin.
Keith trained at Northland Polytechnic and has previously worked with the Ngati Hine Health Trust, the Diabetes Centre and Northland Health. He is completing his specialist Well Child Health qualifications.
