Meeting concludes without unanimous agreement

The meeting today of District Health Boards, Primary Health Organisations and the Ministry of Health to discuss fees roll out for 45 – 64 year olds in interim-funded PHOs has concluded without unanimous agreement.

The meeting canvassed all the issues including publication of fees, ensuring all the money flows through to the patient and the fees review process.

DHBs will be offering all PHOs the opportunity to enter into new contractual provisions which include the revised fees review mechanism and will result in fee reductions from 1 July 2006.
