New Brand: New Website for Auckland Kindergartens

Press Release

18 February 2008

New Brand: New Website for the Auckland Kindergarten Association

Following the launch of a new brand in 2006, the Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA) has redeveloped their website to improve communication and provide activity ideas for parents to do with their children.

The new website has been developed to better reflect the professionalism, cultural diversity and nature of the Association.

AKA General Manager Tanya Harvey says “It is important to clearly communicate who we are as an Association, and the new website will help us to focus on one of our core strengths; providing leadership in education. Just as we have proved with our kindergartens, we believe in providing high quality information to the public”.

The new AKA website is great for parents as it is simple to navigate, encompasses an easy to use ‘find a kindergarten’ section, a photo gallery, fun ideas for children, and donate now section.

“This is a great opportunity to reflect on how far we have come as an organisation as we approach celebrating 100 years of providing quality early childhood education in October 2008”, says Tanya Harvey.

The Auckland Kindergarten Association is New Zealand’s largest kindergarten association, and also the largest education provider outside the tertiary sector. There are over 9,000 young children attending 107 public kindergartens throughout Auckland every week, up to 14,000 in a year.
