Latest Quit Smoking Device available in Selected Pharmacies for Christmas

New Zealand pharmacies have another tool to help 600,000 New Zealanders to quit smoking this Christmas.

Elusion Cigarette Company has reached an agreement with Pharmacy Brands to distribute e-cigarettes though its nationwide network of Amcal, Care Chemist, Unichem and Life Pharmacies. Distribution of the first consignment of e-cigarettes to over 200 pharmacies will be completed this week.

"We wanted to get the products on pharmacy shelves for people to act on their Christmas wishes and New Year’s resolutions," said Wayne McIndoe of Pharmacy Brands.

“It makes for a thoughtful Christmas gift for someone who is struggling to quit tobacco products and who needs a realistic alternative.”

Electronic cigarettes provide a similar look and feel to traditional cigarettes. When the e-cigarette is inhaled, the tip of the device lights up and an atomised vapour is released: this vapour is odourless; containing no nicotine, tar, or carbon monoxide. The liquid within the cartridge contains water, flavouring, and propylene glycol.

Paul Medarov, CEO of the Elusion Cigarette Company says he is receiving excellent feedback from smokers following the switch to e-cigarettes
