Year of success - Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Evening

Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Evening set for another year of success

The Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Evening is set to hit Auckland again this Sunday (the 14th), for a night of entertainment, cuisine, and beauty, as well as a silent auction, all in aid of The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.

Held at Revelry, one of Auckland’s latest hot spots, this year’s event will be sponsored by Clinique, Total Care Remuera & of course the host Revelry. 130 guests will enjoy fine wine from Daniel Le Brun & Wither Hills, as well as a range of cocktails, canapés, and specialty cupcakes provided from Ponsonby’s Petal cupcakery.

Tickets are $65, with $35 from each ticket sold going directly the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. Tickets are limited, so to enjoy an evening of entertainment including a Fashion show sponsored by Clinique & Nova, silent and live auctions, musical performances and celebrity guests, those who want to attend are encouraged to get in quick!

Having been a sell-out for the past three years running, this year’s event promises not to disappoint!

The event is the brainchild of Kristelle Thomsen, who lost her Grandmother to Breast Cancer six years ago, and saw her mother-in- law beat Breast Cancer twice.

"Breast Cancer has severely impacted both my family and me, so I had wanted to do something to help NZBCF for a long time. The idea for the event came from a conversation with my sister-in-law Amy Max and best friend Ben Taylor, after a couple of glasses of wine one evening. At the first year’s event we sold over 170 tickets and raised $8,000 for the NZBCF.

After such a huge success, the momentum has continued to build. We've roped even more friends & colleagues in to help, and we are committed, now more than ever, to making this event one of the biggest fundraisers in NZ.

I'm lucky to work for Estee Lauder Companies, Clinique, as they already support the NZBCF, and were completely behind the cause. In fact Evelyn Lauder co-founded the pink ribbon campaign which is now the worldwide symbol for Breast Cancer Awareness."

To purchase tickets, contact the Clinique Service Centre at St Luke’s Westfield, or call them on (09) 846 5045 to arrange purchase and delivery of tickets.
