Hearing Week 2013

Hearing Week 2013

“Helping people who are deaf and hearing impaired to achieve a better quality of life”

We call on all New Zealanders to help…

The objective of Hearing Week 2013, which runs from the 25th to the 31st of March, is to encourage family and friends to discuss hearing loss with someone they know who they think suffers from it.

It’s a simple objective that can markedly improve the quality of life for thousands of New Zealanders.

Hearing loss often develops over a number of years and the first step, which can be very challenging, is to actually acknowledge it exists.

This Hearing Week, take the opportunity to help a family member or friend to acknowledge their hearing is not what it used to be and support them by helping them find where to go for a hearing test and rehabilitation as required.

Do you know someone close to you that may have a hearing loss?
