Youthline needs YOU!

Wellington, Tuesday 30th April, 2013 - Volunteer collectors are needed for the Youthline Wellington street appeal on Thursday 9 May 2013.

Volunteers will be stationed on various sites around Wellington, and can work any time from 7am – 6pm. They must be aged 14 or over (or be accompanied by an adult), and will be provided with an official collection bucket, fluro vest, collectors badge as well as leaflets and stickers to hand out.

As the street appeal is one of the largest fundraising events for Youthline, it is vital to attract as many volunteer collectors as possible. This year, Youthline Wellington is aiming to attract 100 volunteers.

Youthline has been supporting New Zealand youth for over forty years, offering free, non judgmental counselling and advice. The organisation relies heavily on its’ volunteers who work to provide support and development for New Zealand youth. Youthline volunteers
last year answered almost 200,000 calls and over 350,000 texts from young people. This year, the street appeal is running in conjunction with ‘Youth Week’ which runs from 4 - 12 May.
