Infant Nutrition Council congratulates Synlait Milk

The Infant Nutrition Council congratulates Synlait Milk Ltd for winning the Supreme Award at the New Zealand China Trade Association China Business Awards.

Synlait was also awarded with the DLA Phillips Fox Award for successful investment with China, inward or outward.

Infant Nutrition Council (INC) CEO Jan Carey says winning the supreme award was recognition of Synlait’s focus on ensuring it supplied only the best quality infant and adult nutritional products in China.

“China is now a key market for New Zealand dairy products, and infant formula is a very big and increasing part of that.

“The work Synlait is doing in building its partnerships in China is clearly paying dividends and is contributing to its success

“Like all members of INC, Synlait has the highest integrity and is concerned to enhance the reputation of the infant formula industry in New Zealand,” Mrs Carey says.

INC represents some of the biggest and most respected food companies in the world, as well as local manufacturers who are producing product for export. INC works with government to ensure the New Zealand brand is protected, food standards are aligned with international practice, and breastfeeding is protected.
