MEDIA RELEASE

Grant Short wins Contributor of the Year

Grant Short, or „Prof as he is affectionately known, has won „Contributor of the Year at this years Pharmacy Awards.

The Pharmacy Guild of New Zealand (the Guild) would like to congratulate Grant, who thoroughly deserves this recognition after a career that could have seen him win the award several times over.

“This year it feels especially right, as Grants contribution to community pharmacy over the past 12 months has been phenomenal”, said Guild President, Karen Crisp.

“He has represented not only the Guild, but the whole of community pharmacy on the Community Pharmacy Services Operations Group (CPSOG), the Funding Fee Setting and Monitoring Group, and more recently on the Audit Taskforce.

“Grants understanding of the drivers of community pharmacy funding is second to none and his contribution has ensured that the transition steps in the Pharmacy Services Agreement (PSA) have been practical, sensible and fair to community pharmacies”, she continued.

Despite officially retiring, Grant still sends emails at all times of the day and night when issues of importance strike him, and it is this dedication that has won him this accolade.

It is fitting that in the year he sells Matamata Pharmacy, which he has developed into such a model “test” site, Grant is recognised as Contributor of the Year.
