Face Television: Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer: not looking won't make it go away.

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer affecting women.  One NZ woman in nine will be affected during her lifetime.   Today seven NZ women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.  If it has been found early enough then the outlook will be much better than with late detection.  But 30% of eligible women don’t even have mammograms.  The guest this week In Conversation with Noel Cheer on Face Television is  Dr. Belinda Scott, Chair of Medical Committees of the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation and a full-time Private Surgeon specialising in breast diseases and cosmetic surgery.   We present this programme as a salute to International Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
