Get Your Fluoride Surveys Into Waikato District Council
Waikato District Council’s water fluoridation survey closes on Monday (30 September).
Waikato District Health Board is urging those living in Tamahere, Matangi, Puketaha, Gordonton and Te Kowhai to complete the surveys and return them to make their voices heard.
The council sent out the surveys to nearly 2500 homes that are on Hamilton’s water supply, but will not get to vote in the Hamilton City Council’s water fluoridation referendum.
Waikato District Council say they have already received about 1000 responses but would like many more.
The responses will be offered to Hamilton City
Council to take into account alongside the Hamilton City
referendum results.
Waikato District Health Board Medical
Officer of Health Felicity Dumble said she hopes Hamilton
City Council will take heed of the referendum results, which
she is confident will overwhelmingly favour community water
fluoridation as a cost effective, safe and fair way to
protect the community’s
teeth.
