Introducing the new ACCforum NZ.

During 1979, New Zealander's gave up their Right to Sue for injury related compensation for a scheme using the Woodhouse principles. This was managed by the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).

This worked well for many years and both employers and employees were reasonable happy.

Since the early 90's, this scheme has been totally corrupted by Government MP's/officials who have lost touch as to the reasons why this scheme was set up for in the first place and indeed the spirit of the Woodhouse principles.

Increasing in numbers are the Injured workers that are having to take ACC to Review, with most then proceeding to ACC Appeals in the District Court because of the illegal and underhanded methods adopted/practiced to remove/exit them from this scheme.

This is costing them their families, their homes and in some cases, their lives. Many give up the fight because of the overwhelming costs involved in challenging the decisions ACC make!

Permanent injuries that are reported as being magically healed by Specialist Assessors contracted to the ACC but are in fact no more healed than when they were first injured. Injured workers that are exited/removed off the ACC scheme only to end up on WORK & Income NZ (WINZ - sickness - disability) benefits because they can still not work and haven't the money to fight the 'Corporation.

Bogus work programs set up by ACC to fulfill their legal requirements that have no benefit to the claimants. Medical reports that have been illegally altered by ACC staff. Injury file documents removed/deleted from claimants files. The Work Capacity Assessment process being interfered with/controlled by ACC. The list goes on.

New Zealander's have always prided themselves as being Morally upright people, but this has, and still is happening in our own backyard. Injured and disabled men, women and children are being systematically persecuted by immorally and financially driven ACC Staff that are offered bonuses (KPI's) for removing them from the ACC scheme.

ACC Staff are Government employees! They appear to hold themselves above the law and pervert it for their own, and the Accident Compensation Corporation's financial gains.

Over the years, Ministers of Parliament, in particular the Ministers that have been responsible for the ACC Portfolio have been made aware of the problems but choose to ignore them.
