St Pierre’s and Cancer Society team up in August

St Pierre’s and Cancer Society team up in August for Daffodil Day

Cancer Society has partnered with St Pierre’s this August to raise funds for Daffodil Day. Throughout August customers can upgrade their miso soup to a ‘cup of hope’. St Pierre’s is donating 60 cents from each cup of miso to Cancer Society to help support New Zealanders going through cancer.

“Daffodil Day represents the hope there is for the 1 in 3 New Zealanders affected by cancer. This year we are excited to partner with St Pierre’s who was an ideal choice with their healthy food selection,” said Cancer Society of New Zealand chief executive, Claire Austin. “Daffodil Day gives us an opportunity to reflect on this disease and those affected. Working with St Pierre’s allows us to connect with the community in an innovative way and together we can encourage healthy eating while supporting those affected by cancer”.

St Pierre’s director Nick Katsoulis says St Pierre is proud to be involved with Daffodil Day 2015. “We hope to raise up to $30,000 from sales of the cup of hope throughout August. The Japanese food culture encourages healthy eating, so we see this as a great opportunity to help New Zealanders embrace that, while also supporting a fantastic cause.”

The miso ‘cup of hope’ is available in store at all St Pierre’s stores across New Zealand from today.
