New Face to Affordable Healthcare

New Face to Affordable Healthcare

Hamilton, New Zealand – 16 November 2015 – A recent rebranding has seen a locally-owned and operated healthcare provider, with five clinics in Hamilton and Huntly, re-emerge as Tui Medical.

Alongside the new name comes a renewed focus on providing cost-effective, caring and professional healthcare. Dr. Navin Rajan, the managing director at Tui Medical, is excited about the future, “I strongly believe in creating a culture of excellence and innovation, with services that are accessible to everyone in the community, not just those on a high income,” he says. “It’s what gets me out of bed in the morning and what we are committed to at Tui Medical.”

Free care is available for Community Services or High Use Health Card holders at two of their clinics, Central (Victoria Street) and their Huntly branch. Very low-cost care and accident or urgent services are available at the Rototuna, Te Rapa and Davies Corner clinics, with Rototuna and Davies Corner open after hours, until 8pm, seven days a week.

The team at Tui Medical offers maximum convenience too. You don’t need to make an appointment as drop-in services are available. Also, if you can’t make it to your regular Tui Medical GP you are welcome to visit one of the other clinics. All of the clinics share a common database so that doctors are able to access your information if you are an enrolled patient.

They also provide a ‘one stop shop’. From counselling, social work services, and occupational therapy to visiting specialists offering expertise in orthopaedics, the very young through to the elderly are all covered through the wide range of services offered under the Tui Medical umbrella. Other services provided include exercise tolerance testing, and after hours cervical smears and immunisation, with minor surgery and the gynaecology clinic being available in the new year.

Tui Medical believes in giving back to the medical industry, and they are dedicated to supporting the next generation of medical professionals in their studies. During your visit you may well come into contact with students in training, as all of the sites are teaching clinics. In addition Tui Medical is also at the leading edge in employing mid-level providers in addition to regular GPs. These highly trained professionals, including physician associates (PA) and nurse practitioners (NP), work in tandem with other health professionals to meet all of your healthcare needs.

Tui Medical is always on the look-out for new opportunities to serve the community to the best of their ability.

In an exciting development they will be opening a new, ‘state of the art’ clinic on Gordonton Road in early December. The Parkwood clinic will be open from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

In the meantime, the friendly and dedicated team are on hand to help at any of their clinics. To make an appointment, or to find out more, you can phone them on 0800 175 175. Alternatively, you can make an appointment or request a repeat prescription on-line. The website is also a great place to find out how long the waiting times are for the drop-in service.
