NRMP International Joins International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities

NRMP International joins a global community committed to high-quality physician education, physician training, and patient safety and care.

Washington, D.C., May 18, 2016 – National Resident Matching Program International® (NRMPI®) has accepted an invitation to become a Partner Organization of the International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA). IAMRA brings together medical regulators and other organizations from around the world to promote a shared mission of protecting, promoting, and maintaining public health and safety. As a Partner, NRMPI joins organizations from more than 40 countries, including Australia, Ireland, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom, in guiding initiatives, developing resources, and sharing best practices for improving standards of care for patients around the globe.

“NRMP International is pleased to partner with IAMRA,” said Mona M. Signer, NRMP International President and CEO. “We believe our matching services can assist medical regulators in recruiting the most qualified physicians to provide health care in their countries, and we are well positioned to contribute to discussions about physician education and training and workforce planning.”
