Welcome to our new monthly update keeping Southern DHB staff, patients and communities up to date about redevelopments at Dunedin Hospital. There are currently two redevelopment programmes at Dunedin Hospital.
Long term redevelopment
Southern DHB, in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Southern Partnership Group, is currently reviewing options for the redevelopment of Dunedin Hospital to ensure it is fit-for-purpose and meets the current and future needs of our region.
Urgent Interim Works Programme
A programme of four re-fit and upgrade projects required to ensure clinical service continues while the longer term redevelopment of Dunedin Hospital is planned and carried out (based on an estimated 7-10 year time frame).
