Burns victim flown to hospital

[STARTS]

Last night at 2100 hrs the Tauranga based Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched Kawerau township where a 13 year old local boy has sustained serious burns to his hands and legs. The young boy had fallen from a motorbike and fuel was spilled over him, it was not known if there was a fire or if the injuries where chemical burns. The young lad, accompanied by his mother, was flown to Waikato hospital for specialist treatment.
The flight was carried out using NVGs.
