Minister’s Return Welcomed By General Practice Organisations

Minister’s Return Welcomed By General Practice Organisations

New Zealand Rural General Practice Network and General Practice New Zealand welcome the return of Tony Ryall as Minister of Health and want to build on the good relationships and progress made in the sector during the past three years.

NZRGPN chairperson Dr Jo Scott-Jones and GPNZ chairperson Dr Bev O’Keefe say they are looking forward to a continued close relationship with the Minister.

“He is easy to communicate with, takes a personal interest in specific issues and he listens to clinicians,” says Dr Scott-Jones.

“During the next three years we are looking forward to building on our clinically led primary care network infrastructure to deliver integrated health services for our communities in line with the Better, Sooner, More Convenient policy,” says Dr O’Keefe.
