Your chance to have your say at Waikato Hospital

Your chance to have your say at Waikato Hospital

Waikato Hospital wants feedback from people who have attended an outpatient appointment at the hospital in the last 12 months.

It’s been quite an experience for outpatients because the hospital is one of the largest construction sites in New Zealand.

Getting around and finding where the outpatient clinics are has tested the patience of many patients.

In August the $130 million Meade Clinical Centre will open. Stage One is the Outpatients clinics.

The five-level 32,000m2 building will be home for most of the Waikato Hospital outpatient clinics providing a ‘one stop shop’ experience for outpatients in a custom built modern environment with easy access linking directly onto the main carpark at three levels.

Also in the Meade Clinical Centre there will be interventional suites, same day admissions unit and additional operating theatres. The hospital's critical care unit including intensive care and high dependency unit will move into level four.

“We want to hear from you what constitutes good customer service within outpatients,” says Jo-Anne Deane who is leading the project.

“We want to ensure our customer service is as high quality as our new facility.”

We want as much feedback as we can so join us at the Bryant Education Centre, Tuesday 21 February 2012 from 5-7pm for a patient feedback session. This is your chance as a recent patient or a support person of the outpatients service to join us to share your experiences and let us know how we can improve our customer service.

Your feedback will be used for developing a training programme for our staff.
