The Key to Vibrant Health

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Key to Vibrant Health

Sally Fallon-Morell, co founder of the Weston A Price Foundation and author of the best-selling book Nourishing Traditions, will be speaking in Wellington on Thursday 29 March.

Sally is one of the key voices for the preservation of our ancestral connection to nutritional wellness, the rights of small organic farmers, and every community's free access to clean, local food sources.

Dr. Weston A. Price was a Canadian dental surgeon who made several overseas tours during the 1930s to investigate the effects on human teeth, and human health, of the modern "civilized" diet versus traditional diets. His pioneering work is continued today by the foundation, and Sally is visiting New Zealand to share more key nutritional information with the people of Wellington.

Sally advocates for the consumption of nutritionally dense, whole foods such as lacto-fermented vegetables, stocks and broths, and whole raw dairy products. Sally’s best selling book, Nourishing Traditions dispels many of the myths surrounding food and nutrition, and she will speak to these at her lecture. Subjects such as the dangers of modern soy products; the myth that cholesterol is the leading cause of heart disease; and the nutritional value of saturated animal fats will be dealt with.

The raw milk debate in New Zealand is gaining interest with many, with the current food bill before parliament as well as MAF’s proposal to the changes in the rules around farmers selling raw milk. Sally recently took part in a debate at Harvard Law School on the health benefits of raw milk, where she explained that unpasteurized milk contains cofactors that are required for the body to absorb vital nutrients from milk which are destroyed through pasteurization.

Following WAPF dietary guidelines, people have recovered from chronic gut disorders, ended their dependence on pharmaceutical prescriptions, and experienced healthy and sustainable weight loss.

Preceding Sally’s talk, her husband Geoffrey Morell will present a practical demonstration of his unique healing modality. Geoffrey is a New Zealand born naturopath and intuitive healer who now lives in and practices from Washington DC and is highly acclaimed worldwide.
