Spectrum Care set to expand into Wellington region

Spectrum Care set to expand into Wellington region

Spectrum currently undertaking due diligence of former IDEA Services’ Respite Bases

The Chief Executive of Spectrum Care, Sean Stowers, is pleased to announce that the disability support provider is currently working through due diligence processes before confirming its ability to provide respite services in the Wellington region.

IDEA Services announced in March that it was seeking to move out of providing a number of services, including facility based Respite and Home Support. As a result, Spectrum expressed an interest in taking over two of IDEA’s ‘Respite Bases’.

“Spectrum has been providing high-quality respite support in the Auckland and Bay of Plenty regions for many years and we see this as one of our core competencies,” said Mr Stowers.

“We’ve been talking to families in Wellington about their support needs for some months and this recent opportunity has reinforced our commitment to the region. Pending the outcome of the due diligence process, we feel this expansion will also be a positive outcome for those receiving respite support and their families.”

Ray Finch, Spectrum’s General Manager of Business Development, reinforced these sentiments following the release of IDEA Services’ statement earlier today.

“Continuity of support is extremely important to us, so we want to continue working closely with families currently accessing respite support to ensure as seamless a transition as possible,” said Mr Finch.
