Car Of The Century Election

AMSTERDAM, Holland, 6 October 1999/MediaNet International- AsiaNet/--The long running election for the Car of the Century will have its exciting conclusion in Las Vegas on Saturday December 18th, 1999 with the official Election of the Car of the Century.

The official Car of the Century will be elected during a Grand Finale Gala Evening in hotel "The Venetian" in Las Vegas on Saturday December 18th, 1999. The Car of the Century will be chosen from 5 Official Finalists, pre-selected by a jury of 132 prominent car journalists from 33 countries and car enthusiasts from around the globe.

Jury members, top executives from the car industry, a variety of celebrities, members of car clubs and other car enthusiasts will all meet in Las Vegas for the Grand Finale of the Car of the Century. The same evening, The Car Entrepreneur, the Car Designer, the Car Engineer and the Car Executive of the Century will also be honored with special awards. The Gala Ceremony will be hosted by a celebrity and broadcasted in many countries around the world. Preceding the Grand Finale Gala Evening, a 2-day event will be held, featuring many of the officially nominated cars and several exciting car rrelated events.

Until November 28th, 1999 car enthusiasts can vote for their Car of the Century on the COTC-website (www.cotc.com). This website is a fast growing car enthusiast community, where people can meet other car aficionados, get the latest car news, play games, exchange views and chat.

On this website they can also participate in a prize contest. Since Car of the Century is about the celebration of the car, all prizes in the contest will be cars.

Car enthusiasts and COTC supporters who do not want to miss the Grand Finale can get all necessary information and make arrangements to attend the celebrations in Las Vegas through the website (www.cotc.com) and the following telephone number (USA, 001 310 527 7872) and fax number (USA, 001 310 527 7884).

Car of the Century Grand Finale Gala is the year's biggest global event for anyone who shares the spirit and love for cars. The automobile is without doubt one of the most important inventions for mankind, for the automobile has given us unprecedented individual freedom of movement. It has had an enormous impact on daily life throughout the 20th century. These significant contributions to life and society have led to celebrate the century of the car by electing the Car of the Century.
