The laundry on the corner of Abel Smith and Victoria St has undergone an exterior transformation as part of the no motorway campaign.
It is hoped the work in progress – Art Director Daniel Maule says it’s hard to decide which parts are finished – will be a venue for Fringe Festival events. Nothing is set in stone, it seems to be a case of keep an eye on it and you never know what you might see.
Last Saturday local dub group the Black Seeds played the opening party in the car park. Daniel says the night was a big success, a long set by the band an indicator of how much everyone was enjoying themselves.
