More images of the environs of the most photogenic mountain village in the world taken by Norman Mackay .

Diadem and the Ohau Range -
taken yesterday afternoon from the edge of a local lagoon we
here call, " The cricket pitch ". Its about six km from the
village, on the road that takes you back to the main
highway.

Days Of Heavy Frost - taken
this morning about 10am, in an area behind the Lake Ohau
Alpine village. This area has not defrosted, or seen the sun
for about two weeks. Its in a perpetual shadow, and is in a
really cold spot at the back of the village. It has its own
beauty regardless of the fact that its so cold during winter
period. The area appears to be covered in snow, but is in
fact a heavy coating of frost
