Love Vs Fear

What follows is a final portion of the posting published yesterday as Sludge Report #107: New York Cover-up?, some feedback on the first part and instructions on a weird trick with Microsoft Word’s wingdings…

It seems that all humanity needs to avoid World War III is for each and everyone of us to maintain an open mind.

Dear Friends Around The World

New York Cover Up - Part II the story continues…

…Finally, a powerful letter from : Neale Donald Walsch, Marianne Williamson, James Tywman, James Redfield And Doreen Virtue…

Dear Friends Around The World,

The events of this day cause every thinking person to stop their daily lives, whatever is going on in them, and to ponder deeply the larger questions of life. We search again for not only the meaning of life, but the purpose of our individual and collective experience as we have created it - and we look earnestly for ways in which we might recreate ourselves anew as a human species, so that we will never treat each other this way again.

The hour has come for us to demonstrate at the highest level our most extraordinary thought about Who We Really Are.

There are two possible responses to what has occurred today. The first comes from love, the second from fear.

If we come from fear we may panic and do things - as individuals and as nations - that could only cause further damage. If we come from love we will find refuge and strength, even as we provide it to others.

This is the moment of your ministry. This is the time of teaching. What you teach at this time, through your every word and action right now, will remain as indelible lessons in the hearts and minds of those whose lives you touch, both now, and for years to come.

We will set the course for tomorrow, today. At this hour. In this moment.

Let us seek not to pinpoint blame, but to pinpoint cause.

Unless we take this time to look at the cause of our experience, we will never remove ourselves from the experiences it creates. Instead, we will forever live in fear of retribution from those within the human family who feel aggrieved, and, likewise, seek retribution from them.

To us the reasons are clear. We have not learned the most basic human lessons. We have not remembered the most basic human truths. We have not understood the most basic spiritual wisdom. In short, we have not been listening to God, and because we have not, we watch ourselves do ungodly things.

The message we hear from all sources of truth is clear: We are all one. That is a message the human race has largely ignored. Forgetting this truth is the only cause of hatred and war, and the way to remember is simple: Love, this and every moment.

If we could love even those who have attacked us, and seek to understand why they have done so, what then would be our response? Yet if we meet negativity with negativity, rage with rage, attack with attack, what then will be the outcome?

These are the questions that are placed before the human race today. They are questions that we have failed to answer for thousands of years. Failure to answer them now could eliminate the need to answer them at all.

If we want the beauty of the world that we have co-created to be experienced by our children and our children's children, we will have to become spiritual activists right here, right now, and cause that to happen. We must choose to be at cause in the matter.

So, talk with God today. Ask God for help, for counsel and advice, for insight and for strength and for inner peace and for deep wisdom. Ask God on this day to show us how to show up in the world in a way that will cause the world itself to change. And join all those people around the world who are praying right now, adding your Light to the Light that dispels all fear.

That is the challenge that is placed before every thinking person today. Today the human soul asks the question: What can I do to preserve the beauty and the wonder of our world and to eliminate the anger and hatred-and the disparity that inevitably causes it - in that part of the world which I touch?

Please seek to answer that question today, with all the magnificence that is You.

What can you do TODAY...this very moment?

A central teaching in most spiritual traditions is: What you wish to experience, provide for another. Look to see, now, what it is you wish to experience - in your own life, and in the world. Then see if there is another for whom you may be the source of that.

If you wish to experience peace, provide peace for another.

If you wish to know that you are safe, cause another to know that they are safe.

If you wish to better understand seemingly incomprehensible things, help another to better understand.

If you wish to heal your own sadness or anger, seek to heal the sadness or anger of another.

Those others are waiting for you now. They are looking to you for guidance, for help, for courage, for strength, for understanding, and for assurance at this hour. Most of all, they are looking to you for love.

We love you, and we send you our deepest thoughts of peace.

Neale, Marianne, James, James and Doreen

The State Of The World And What To Do About It
By Ivan Sokolov 17/9/01

AUTHOR NOTE: In the days since the violent attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon I have chosen not to watch TV, listen to the radio or buy newspapers. It has been enough to check in daily with the news on the Internet and experience the hugely jangled energy flowing around the world. I have also been in regular correspondence with a large number of people around the world by e-mail, including many friends in the USA, as well as receiving messages passed on from many people, some famous, some unknown. I have been given the following to share with whoever may wish to read it. I offer it to you now with love and humility. Ivan Sokolov, 17/9/01

Our world is caught in the grip of a powerful tussle between the forces of Love and those of Fear, the Light and the Shadow.

Successive generations have lived with an increasing polarisation between love and fear.

Instead of the valid natural integration of the two in each of us, we have come to live a life where what should be in balance is polarised to an extreme.

This leaves many to carry a disproportionate level of fear in their hearts and many who carry a similarly unbalanced amount of love.

Of course, there are those in the world who do not suffer from the polarity to the same extent, but huge numbers of people sit towards one or other end of a spectrum and are incomplete in themselves as a result.

So many of our local, national and global institutions have evolved in fearful ways.

Any society requires some level of organisation and government, but these could have evolved in a climate of unconditional love and compassion.

Instead, they have evolved in a climate of fear, producing levels of control and manipulation that keep the vast majority of the population in complete ignorance of what is really going on around us.

The last forty years have seen a growing attempt to redress the balance. This is evidenced by the spread of spirituality around the world, by the development of what some call the New Age and the development of the consciousness raising aspects of emotional and psychological education.

It is also coming about through the disruption of the very systems of control and manipulation that have been built up over the years: education, health and welfare provision breaking down causing many more people to question the values that underpin it; the disillusionment of so many with the status quo, fed in part by the increasingly easy access to information.

As strengthening minorities of particularly westernised populations have started to seek some semblance of better balance in their lives, so those who hold power have started to fear change from within almost more than attack from without. The enemy outside has started to become the enemy within.

If we live in love and trust, we do not need to be in control. The very idea of controlling the context in which we live and operate stems from feeling unsafe within it. For time immemorial those who have felt more fear in their hearts than love have put themselves forward as managers and leaders to uphold the status quo and provide what they crave in the way of safety and security.

It is only when great change is needed that leaders operating with love have managed to come forward and wrestle some degree of control from those operating with fear.

Our world stands at the threshold of the single most significant evolutionary step the human race has or will ever take. The shift of consciousness that we may soon be able to make will move humanity out of the bondage self-created through the polarity of love and fear and the willing acceptance of the separation between the physical and the spiritual, between head and heart.

This is what some are now referring to as the ascension process.

This next step for humanity will take us into the unknown. It will be a spiritual journey with profound material consequences. The prospect of it is intensely threatening to the status quo - humanity and planet earth will never be the same again. Therein lies the source of the struggle between the light and the dark we are now experiencing.

Those who have successfully consolidated their positions of power and control in the material world perceive themselves as having the most to lose in the step to come.

They have built themselves financial empires and political power bases in the world of global corporate control that appear to provide the safety they long for.

Of course, safety of this kind is entirely illusory. And the harder you struggle for it the more illusive it becomes.

What we have witnessed recently is the extreme paradox in the struggle the shadow has to maintain control. In order to hold on to the illusion of safety that comes from power and control ostensibly over those who could threaten their comfort zones, they have had to bring about the very thing that they purport to fear - a violent attack against the people and institutions that their public face say they exist to protect. If they need to persuade people to rely ever more heavily on them, what better way than to orchestrate an attack that will scare them into demanding even more protection from them.

Some of what we have been hearing and reading that we generically refer to as "conspiracy theories" are indeed the truth. Some are plain fiction born of vivid imagination or just inaccurate postulation. The issue is not so much whether there is a cabal of business and political leaders manipulating the world for their own ends, as that the struggle between love and fear is rapidly heating up. And, right now, each member of the human race needs to become involved in this struggle.

The only way to move forward in our journey of spiritual evolution is to take back the elements of the polarity and start to integrate love and fear inside ourselves. The only way to effectively wrestle control back from the fear based elite who have taken it for themselves is to come to understand the way the emotions work to power the physical world and choose love as the energy we wish to use in our personal and public lives.

We will not find it easy to break out of the manipulation of fear until we come to know and experience what true unconditional love is. Until that moment, the now successful attempts by the mass media to resonate with the fear in us will continue to control how we think and what we believe about the world. Only when we can stand up and say "I chose love rather than this" will the manipulators lose their power over us.

When we are no longer available to be manipulated and controlled through fear we will be able to come together in love in sufficient numbers and take back control from those who presently purport to lead us.

To reach that point, we will need to learn to be sufficiently discerning to both know and trust what we are feeling and to know and trust what others are feeling.

Otherwise, we run the risk of being exposed to new attempts to control our emotions and our minds by those who will masquerade as the new leaders of a different approach yet in truth still be operating out of fear.

So what does all this mean in practice right now? It means several things:-

First, open our senses, hearts and minds. We need to

~ set aside our current beliefs about how the world works, our intellectual understanding of the present order of things

~ suspend our judgments

~ be courageous in our thinking and feeling.

~ start to question everything that is happening around us

~ be very ready to accept that all is not as we think it is or are told it is

~ Be reluctant to accept anything and everything at face value until we have searched our heads, hearts and souls to find what is our own truth. The more authority the source of our information carries, the more willingness we will require to question it.

This is not to say that it is wrong to believe anything, but that it is useful to first question everything and so decide with awareness what we chose to believe.

As we do so, we might also find it useful to ask who will benefit. Being clear as to whether all will benefit or only a minority is always a useful indicator for truly higher purpose in the world.

Second, learn to fully understand our hearts. It is critically important that we heal the split that exists in so many of us between head and heart. Our heart is the most effective channel for discerning what is useful and what is not, what is true for us and what is not. It is through the heart that we open to Spirit and can be in touch with and in tune with the wisdom of the ancients and the spiritual realms that is always present to help us. It is through our heart that we connect to others and come to know that we are all one, that there is no separation between us all and between us and Spirit.

The mind is essential in the process of making sense of our reality, bringing things into being, working out how to do things and processing the input through our senses. But it is with our heart that we make our most effective decisions, that we know what feels right and what is best for us and the world around us.

Third, choose love in every moment. There are only two fundamental choices to be made in any situation, only two ways that we can ever react. We can react out of unconditional love or we can react out of fear. To be able to choose, we need to fully understand our motivation. If we have done the work suggested in number one and two above, we will not only understand our own motivation, but also that of our leaders and those who would take decisions for us. It will become increasingly clear as to whether actions and reactions are decided upon based on unconditional love, compassion and the good of the whole or whether they are based on fear and the shadow emotions that stem from it, anger, envy and grief.

Nothing that will move us and the world forward in terms of human evolution will ever come out of decisions made from fear rather than love.

Fourth, take back our projections. As we come to choose love rather than fear, we will be able to start withdrawing our fearful projections into the world reality. The particularly violent incidents of 11th September are only the peaks of icebergs floating in an ocean of fear and hatred. Every fear that we push away becomes one or more droplets in the ocean that surrounds us.

The only way to remove the power of the icebergs that do so much damage in the world is to drain the ocean that floats them into our lives. The only way to drain the ocean is to each come to terms with our own contribution to it.

It is beholden on us to examine the fears that we have difficulty facing. Accept them as part of us rather than something to be pushed away. Know that they will remain with us unless we learn to love them and integrate them into our consciousness. We can take them back from the ocean of projection and do our bit for peace in the world now.

Fifth, be willing to change. If we haven't already reached this understanding, we best know it now: the only thing of which we can be certain is that change is constant. We are not the same as we were last week and will be next week. Everything around us is also constantly changing. Life is about growth and change. Holding on to the past is a fear-based way of trying to remain comfortable. In the long run it is a fundamentally unsafe way to operate.

The only way to be safe in the world is to embrace constant change, learn to choose love in every moment, learn to discern what is useful and what isn't and join with our fellow beings and all life on the planet to co-create the future we truly desire. Holding to the old ways, to the known, is what is right now causing us so much distress and disruption. We can grow and change together, strengthening the bonds between us, making new friendships, finding new ways to live well in the world, honouring all that has gone before and learning from the mistakes of the past. Together we can change not only ourselves but also the world in which we live.

Sixth, stand up and be counted in our local community and our world. It is worth remembering that "all that is required for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". Fear will rule the day if we let it. So we must be ready and willing to speak out, to have our say, to show that we care, to refuse to be taken for granted, to object to fearful things being done in our name. Gently and compassionately we can confront those who operate with fear in the world, shine our light of love into the dark places around us.

We can be ready to ask the questions no-one wants to ask and know that however foolish we may feel doing so, others will thank us for speaking out where they were too scared. We must be unwilling to take silence as a valid answer, but keep asking, keep digging around for the answer. We can take advantage of the access we now have through the Internet to enormous amounts of information to find out what we need to know.

And, when we have something of value to contribute, we can share it as widely as we possibly can with humility and love.

Finally, take back the power that we give to those who would control us. No one can control us unless we are willing to be controlled; no one can manipulate us unless we are willing to be manipulated. It happens so much of the time now because we are unaware of it. It is time to wake up to what is happening around us and put a stop to it. Even the most brutal dictators can effectively be stopped by non-violent direct action in the name of love. It is only personal fear of getting hurt, of being unsafe, of falling on hard times that allows us to give away our power to those in control.

We have something to learn from the suicidal fanatics who willing give their lives for the causes they believe in. Individual physical life is not sacred. It is only the soul that is sacred and nothing can destroy that. If we are asked to give up our lives in the struggle of love against fear, we can know that the release from the physical that we will experience will bring peace and joy. Death is not the end, only a new beginning. It is our collective fear of dying that holds us in bondage right now.

And we do not need to give up our lives in order for love to win through. All that is required is for thousands, millions, billions of people around the globe to say "enough is enough" and choose love rather than fear right now.

When we do that we will deprive those who feed on fear of their power base. Then we can start to lovingly dismantle the machinery of fear and control that has been so successfully built up over the last century. It is all around us in the form of government, mass media, the whole military industrial complex, and the many aspects of big business that prey on our fears: insurances, pensions, health care, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and so much more.

We can remember above all that we have access to all that it takes to bring about a transformation of life on earth and the evolution of human kind into the next stage of consciousness. All we need is each other and the power of our hearts. Nothing can stand in the way of a united front of love. To help us in the process of building such a united front, let us be willing to ask for help and guidance from the enormous range of spiritual and non-earthly helpers available right now to guide us on our way.

We will succeed!

New York Cover Up Feedback

Thank you Scoop for preserving true freedom of speech. I consider Sludge Report 107 to be nine tenths rubbish - a messy sludge of wild fancy, paranoia, ignorance, devoid of balance or insight - but I uphold the freedom to publish such rubbish (provided its not offensive) as a cornerstone of my democratic community.

Lets face it, the events of 11 September have knocked us all off balance and will no doubt encourage all kinds of deranged extremists to speak out. Better to hang out their views in the wide open spaces of the internet where we can pick out any occasional glimmers of truth, than composting in secret. The writer of Sludge Report 107 did get something right, " the glimmer of hope through all of this - - is the internet".

Dude, talk about conspiracies! Man, you had me going for a while. But you lost me with the "ET Thing".. It's worth noting that you made some interesting observations that people ought to think before reacting. For that I commend you.. The "ET Thing" was odd to say the least!!!!

Truth/fiction?
by Ronny 12:38am Thu Sep 20 '01

It may be hard to believe something as farfetched as ET's communicating with us and offering to help us, but hey, if someone had told me three weeks ago that on Sept 11 two jets would fly into the WTC, flattening the entire structure, and our own government would begin leading us to the brink of WWIII, I would have found that very hard to believe. Don't forget (unless you haven't found out already!!!) that Dr. Steven Greer has 460 military and secret service witnesses willing to testify before congress with facts about our own government's 50 year coverup of alien contact. Sometimes the unbelievable is TRUE.

Truth is stanger than fiction
by Grant 12:54am Thu Sep 20 '01

There are billions of galexies in the universe and I doubt we are alone. But if you are still closed minded that we have had contact with ET's please consider that there is a God and he would want us to show compassion not revenge. This is a test given to us by God. Let us not fail or we will suffer. We will reap great rewards if we show compassion.

Thank You

Thank you Jelaila. i will pass on your words to all who care to listen here in Australia. (there are many!)

Be careful of what you put your energy into. The benevolent ET stories can be right or they can be wrong, they have been around a long time and happens to pop up at the strangest times. At the moment, starting to put focus on ET's instead of what is happening in the world only benefits the people who want war. Just think about it.
