NEWSFLASH: Civil Union Bill Proceeds |

The controversial Civil Union Bill passed its second reading by a comfortable margin this afternoon.
The motion that the amendments from the select committee consideration be agreed to was won by a margin of 66 ayes to 54 noes. There were no abstentions.
The motion that the Civil Union Bill be read a second time and proceed to its final stages was won by a margin of 65 ayes to 55 noes.
The third and final reading is expected next Thursday.
