    - The United Nations Security Council today decided to renew the mandate of the 31 year-old UN observer force in the Golan Heights for a period of six months, until 31 December 2005. The action comes after a report by Secretary-General Kofi Annan in which he found that the presence of the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) remained essential in the context of a tense Middle East, even though the situation in the Israel-Syria sector stayed "generally quiet." The Jackson Verdict: America As Neverland

    - As I watch the puerile, middle-aged miscreant walk away unscathed from one of the most media-hyped trials in the history of the nation, a particular word reverberates in my mind: collusion. The word which literally means co-illusion implies the sharing of an illusion, the silent, secret handshake between one party and another which condones the evil of one of them and thereby proliferates and exacerbates the evil. Once again, America has colluded in evil-a pattern now as old and familiar as our proverbial apple pie. See... Carolyn Baker: America As The Jackson Jury [1]
