Video Promo: Tampa Refugees Doco To Screen Later This Year

Pacific Solution: From Afghanistan to Aotearoa is a documentary that follows the plight of the Tampa refugees. The Tampa refugees are 438 Afghanis who on the day the World Trade Center crumbled were awash in a small boat off the coast of Australia, fleeing the persecution of the Taleban regime. Four years after their arrival in New Zealand, kiwis had the opportunity to hear their incredible story at the world premiere when the documentary featured at the DOCNZ International Documentary Film Festival in Auckland in September. Makers of the doco received funding from NZ on Air and TVNZ. It screens on TVNZ later this year.
