Scoop News: Wairarapa Shaken By
Quake
An earthquake measuring 5 on the
Richter Scale struck the Wairarapa at 2:55am, centered 20
kilometres east of Pahiatua. The Geological & Nuclear
Sciences data centre said the quake had a focal depth of 25
km and will have been felt throughout the lower North
Island.
The data centre said there is possible minor
damage in the Palmerston North - Dannevirke region.
