Wellington Sevens Fans Attempt To Steal The
Show

Today the Wellington Sevens fans did their bit to upstage the colourful parade by the Sevens teams. Yesterday, teams from the Rugby Sevens competition paraded through the streets of Wellington at lunchtime, to the sounds of salsa, pop music and island drums. Today it was the turn of the fans to come out into the glaring Wellington sunshine dressed as cartoon characters, dodgy military personnel and Thunderbirds puppets. Scoop's Lyndon Hood risked heatstroke and flying toy bonkers in an effort to document this great NZ sociological event.
