The Prime Minister's avoiding reading the long awaited Auditor-General's final report into 'election advertising spending from parliamentary funds' blunted the dogged determination of the gallery for nuggets of commentary gold at this afternoon's post-cabinet press conference.

The PM not being acquainted with the case of failed refugee and long time incarcerated Iranian Thomas Yadegary also solved the problem of tackling this particular immigration/human rights crossover issue.
