24 May 2005: "Good afternoon Don and John, Doug Watt and myself enjoyed your presentation this morning at the Millennium Hotel. Sludge and the Scoop Team have been furiously speed-reading Nicky Hager's expose of the life and times of National Party Leader Don Brash a.k.a. Hollow Men: A Study In The Politics Of Deception. - The admission by Health Minister Pete Hodgson that there are errors in a key health study of residents exposed to dioxin in New Plymouth means that the completed peer reviews of the study should now be scrapped, Green Party Health Spokesperson Sue Kedgley says. In 2005, the Health Ministry released a study into dioxin levels in the community adjacent to a chemical plant. Image (c) Greenpeace See... Dioxin peer reviews should now be scrapped [1] ALSO:

Industrial Relations: TVNZ Strike Action Means Bad News

    - Strike action by members of the Public Service Association and the Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union is causing major embarrassment for TVNZ evident by the decline in quality of One News during tonight's strike. Meningococcal Gold Rush IV: Novartis Vaccines’ MeNZB Assertions Examined

    - Throughout the debate surrounding the controversial MeNZB vaccine, Chiron (now called Novartis Vaccines) has remained strangely silent. SCOOP INTERNATIONAL LEAD STORY:
Scoop Report and Photoessay: Tonga Faces Crossroad

    - Twenty four hours after rioters tore through Tonga's capital town looting and burning, leaving a sea of blazing buildings in their wake, New Zealand's Helen Clark said there were two futures on offer for the Pacific. "One is poverty and conflict; the other is peace and development." The comment accurately paints a crossroad for Tonga, for Solomon Islands, Fiji, for Melanesia in general. The comment acknowledges how accurate the United States' most recent handle for the Pacific is: The Arc of Uncertainty. See... Scoop On Assignment: Tonga Faces Crossroad [1] ALSO:
