Parliament's In-House TV Service In Safe Hands

This afternoon members of the public will be able to watch the live streaming on Parliament VIDEO LIVE on Scoop Now! or at this link... (http://www.parliament.nz/en-NZ/Visiting/LiveBroadcast) and a continuous quality live feed will be available to broadcasters on all sitting days. Previously, only question-time was covered in full.

Scoop Media popped down to the studio where Parliament's in-house broadcasting is controlled from this morning to witness the final equipment checks before parliament goes out live. The in-house studios are not actually located in the parliamentary complex as such but are instead located in the lower levels of the No.1 The Treasury.

Fans of high quality 1980s and 1990s children's television would have been delighted to know that two of the crack team responsible for the televisual treats What Nowand the Son Of A Gunn Show were busily lining up camera shots. In fact it would seem that one of the crew, a Mr Alan Henderson, who was intimately acquainted with NZ's most famous puppet - Thingee - was going to be the studio director for Parliament's first in-house studio broadcast.
