Scoop Media will be streaming LIVE VIDEO outside the Reserve Bank 9am Thursday July 25 NZST reporting on the Reserve Bank governor Alan Bollard's Official Cash Rate (OCR) announcement.

Political and business speculation has been circulating all week with a growing anticipation that the Reserve Bank will raise the OCR significantly to push interest rates upward in an attempt to lower the value of the New Zealand dollar against the Greenback.

Tuesday night saw the New Zealand dollar rise to 81 cents US amid business and economic concerns that the high dollar is crushing NZ's export and commodity market opportunities.

Will Alan Bollard raise the OCR, or will he use other means to take the heat out of the New Zealand economy?
