Allen Roland: The Battle For America Has Begun

The Battle For America Has Begun / We Are All On The Front Lines

By Allen Roland

"An election cannot give a country a firm sense of direction if it has two or more national parties which merely have different names but are as alike in their principles and aims as two peas in the same pod" -- Franklin D. Roosevelt

The Battle for America has begun and all of our voices and votes are on the front lines. It will be a battle of hope versus a battle of fear, it will be a battle for true change versus a battle to maintain the status quo, it will be a battle for inclusion versus exclusion ~ and it will occur first within the Democratic party.

Only an Obama victory will be a victory for America for only Barack Obama offers the possibility of real change in a jaded party and democracy which has lost touch with its base ~ the people.

On the day that John McCain became the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party, a Time poll confirmed what voters and polls have consistently demonstrated in the last few weeks – Barack Obama is the candidate best suited to win Independents, play well in Red States, and beat John McCain in November.

In all six of the most recent general election head-to-head match-ups, Obama does better than Hillary Clinton against McCain by an average of more than five points. In four out of the six, Clinton loses to McCain.

Must watch ~ 4 Minute Video / Here are Americans of all colors, genders and occupations whose voices and votes must be heard and counted this election year. All rightfully exclaiming that "We do the dirty work of democracy and that work starts now "

Pass it on to your friends ~
