Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant General Rhys Jones and Defence Minister Wayne Mapp held a press conference this morning to release the name of the NZSAS trooper killed in Kabul and give more details on events surrounding his death. [NZDF slides (PDF), Family statement (PDF)]

The trooper was Corporal Doug Grant, 41.
