Animal Tracking Bill Passes Into Law

National Animal Identification and Tracing Bill passed its third reading on a voice vote.

The bill sets up a regime for the mandatory tracking and identification of farm animals.

It initially will only apply to cattle and deer, but may be extended to other animals over time.

The House moved into committee to consider all parts of the Taxation (International Investment and Remedial Matters) Bill as one debate.
