House To Rise Early For Autumn Adjournment

Parliament will rise at 5pm today ahead of the Easter break and Autumn adjournment.

Leader of the House Gerry Brownlee said in his Business Statement to the House that when Parliament resumed on May 1 the Government would seek to make progress on the:

Appropriation (2010/11 Financial Review) Bill

Regulatory Reform Bill

Sentencing (Aggravating Factors) Amendment Bill

Airports (Cost Recovery for Processing of International Travellers) Bill

Trade (Safeguard Measures) Bill

The petition of Stefan Browning and 2330 people calling for two block offers and a permit for oil exploration be declined was presented at was the Auditor-General’s report, Local government: Results of the 2010/11 audits.
