When Parliament resumed at 2pm Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully moved a motion marking the 70th anniversary of the arrival of United States forces in New Zealand during World War Two. It was passed on a voice vote

Acting Leader of the House Nathan Guy said in the Business Statement that next week the Government would complete the three hour debate on bills relating to appropriations and supplementary estimates and make progress on the Mixed Ownership Model Bill, Dairy Industry Restructuring Amendment Bill and Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims (2012 Expiry and Application Dates) Amendment Bill.

Guy told MPs that the Business Committee would be informed when the Government was prepared to advance legislation on alcohol law reform bill.

2010/11 financial review of the Health Quality and Safety Commission as reported by the Health Committee;

2010/11 financial review of the Auckland District Health Board, and the Waitemata District Health Board as reported by the Health Committee;

2010/11 financial review of the Southern District Health Board as reported by the Health Committee;

2010/11 financial review of the Social Workers Registration Board as reported by the Social Services Committee;

2010/11 financial review of Housing New Zealand Corporation as reported by the Social Services Committee;

Maraeroa A and B Blocks Claims Settlement Bill (9-2) as reported by the Māori Affairs Committee;

Report from the Controller and Auditor-General, Draft annual plan 2012/13 as reported by the Finance and Expenditure Committee;

Supplementary Estimates of Appropriations for the year ending 30 June 2012 as reported by the Finance and Expenditure Committee;

Ngāti Mākino Claims Settlement Bill (335-2) as reported by the Māori Affairs Committee; and

Maraeroa A and B Blocks Incorporation Bill (8-2) as reported by the Māori Affairs Committee;
